Help Support Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund!

“Justice for all” is a fundamental American value. Yet, hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin citizens cannot afford legal help when facing life-changing (and sometimes life-threatening) situations. We strive to change that. You can help today by giving generously.

Donate stock or cryptocurrency: WEJF is now working with Every.org to accept donations of stock and crypto. If you wish to donate stock or crypto to WEJF, please visit Every.org/wejf, click the “Donate” button, and fill in the requested information. Every.org will provide you with the details you need to complete the transaction. Be sure to click the button on Every.org to confirm you have the necessary details and you will complete the process with your stock or crypto broker. This allows Every.org to match up the assets they receive with the nonprofit that should receive the donation.

Donate via donor-advised fund (DAF): Make a donation from your DAF to WEJF by notifying your DAF sponsor. Log on to common DAF account sponsors here: Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, BNY Mellon.

Qualified Charitable Distributions: Taxpayers that are age 70 1/2 or older may use distributions from an IRA directly to a charitable organization. If the distribution is sent directly from the IRA trustee to the charitable organization, it is not included in the taxpayer’s gross income and also qualifies for the required minimum distribution*. Contact your IRA institution for more information.

Donate through planned giving: Please help us plan by notifying us about your planned giving. Leave a lasting legacy for equal justice by making a planned gift, including retirement plans and life insurance policies.

Donate cy pres funds: Have residual funds from a settlement or class action lawsuit? You can donate those funds to WEJF and make a difference in the access to justice for low-income individuals and families in Wisconsin. Simply designate the Wisconsin Equal Justice Fund to receive any residual funds in the settlement agreement.

Donate Through United Way

Did you know you can direct your United Way workplace giving campaign donation to WEJF?

Although WEJF is not a United Way designated agency, you may still direct your United Way donation to us by simply writing in our name and mailing address on the blank line on your United Way donor form to indicate where to designate your gift:

WEJF
PO Box 46103
Madison, WI 53744

(If your company also requires an EIN number, WEJF’s is 39-1904737).

Since 2008, generous donors have given more than $200,000 to WEJF through the United Way. By directing your United Way gift to WEJF, you can help bring justice to all Wisconsin citizens.
